Basketball Game Preview: Yazoo County Panthers vs. Yazoo City Indians

Yazoo County hasn't had much luck against Yazoo City recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Yazoo County Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Yazoo City Indians at 7:15 p.m.

Yazoo County is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 73-37 loss at the hands of Ridgeland. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Titans are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Yazoo City had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 55-47.

Yazoo City pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points per game. As for Yazoo County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
