Football Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Creston Panthers and fell 54-13. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Perry's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Leake, who rushed for 90 yards and one TD.incredibly, Leake got all that yardage with just one huge run

Perry didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Owen Zander and Michael Bahtagic. Bahtagic also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Creston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.

As of now, neither Perry nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
