Preview: Houston Mustangs vs. Simeon Wolverines
Having just played yesterday, the Houston Mustangs will get right back to it and host the Simeon Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Houston had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Arlington with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 65-46. That 65-46 margin sets a new team best for Houston this season.
Kylan Clark continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Jeffries, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Simeon came up short against Rich Township on Sunday and fell 66-57. While losing is never fun, Simeon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Rich Township is ranked 35th).
The win got Houston back to even at 5-5. As for Simeon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
