Basketball Recap: Socrates Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Arborbrook Christian Academy

Socrates Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 95-47 defeat at the hands of the Arborbrook Christian Academy Falcons on Tuesday. The Owls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 65-32.

Leading Arborbrook Christian Academy to victory were Ezra Briles and Ethan Jones. Briles shot 80% from the field to rack up 20 points, while Jones almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Austin Jones, who went 6-for-8 en route to 17 points.

Socrates Academy has already played their next contest (against Union Preparatory), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Arborbrook Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Charlotte Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
