Colfax is 6-1 against Marysville since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Falcons will challenge the Indians at 7:15 p.m. Colfax has given up an average of 33.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Colfax is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They took a 34-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oakmont. Despite 52 more yards than the Vikings, the Falcons couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Marysville, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against Center by a score of 20-7 on Friday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Andrew Salguero and Joshua Adams. Salguero rushed for 106 yards and one TD on only 15 carries while Adams rushed for 105 yards on only ten carries. Salguero also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, defending one pass and snagged an interception. Taegan Jung made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Marysville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 249 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 178 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Marysville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jung and Salguero. Jung got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Colfax's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Marysville, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Colfax didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Marysville in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 26-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
