Volleyball Recap: Cactus Shadows Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Cactus Shadows had won two straight road games and Gabby Procopio did her part to make it three on Wednesday. The Falcons walked away with a 3-1 win over the Thunderbird Titans thanks in part to Procopio, who had 16 digs and two assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Thunderbird lost, don't look at Ema-Lee Burke. Despite the final result, she had 26 digs and four assists.

Cactus Shadows' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Thunderbird, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Cactus Shadows and Thunderbird will both be playing Basha the next time they take the court. The Titans will head out to face the Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
