It was a good run, but Jefferson unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Edison Golden Bears by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Bears earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Jefferson's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 13-5. As for Edison, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, Jefferson will head out to take on Highlands at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edison, they will square off against Seguin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
