Basketball Game Preview: Arlington Tigers vs. Whitehaven Tigers

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up.

Last Monday, Arlington came up short against Houston and fell 70-57. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Whitehaven waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took down the Wolverines 43-28.

Arlington better keep an eye on Taniyah Hurt. She was instrumental in Whitehaven's win, putting up nine points along with six assists and six steals. With that strong performance, Hurt is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Nelson, who posted nine points.

Whitehaven's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Arlington, their loss dropped their record down to 12-15.

Arlington was taken down by Whitehaven 60-17 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Arlington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
