Baseball Recap: Fayetteville-Perry Comes Up Short

Fayetteville-Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-4 to the Manchester Greyhounds, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-4 defeat on Thursday.

Caleb Fehring was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Fayetteville-Perry's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Manchester, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Fayetteville-Perry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manchester, they will challenge Huntington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Huntsmen will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
