Volleyball Recap: Virginia High Bearcats vs. Marion Scarlet Hurricanes
Virginia High came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Scarlet Hurricanes this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss two weeks ago.
The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-4.
Gracie Arnold paced Virginia High's offense, picking up five kills. Arnold got some help from Marley Bishop and her 12 assists. Sarah Page controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Virginia High has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's still a better percentage than their 6-19 record this season. As for Marion, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-9.
