Baseball Recap: Keota Comes Up Short

Keota was the 11-1 winner over Belle Plaine when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Plainsmen by a score of 6-5 on Monday.

Keota's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Belle Plaine, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Looking ahead, Keota will head out to face off against North Mahaska at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Belle Plaine, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-1 loss against Aplington-Parkersburg on the 17th.
