Basketball Recap: Edgemont Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Edgemont can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 57-56 to the White River Tigers. The Moguls lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 67-32 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Edgemont lost, don't look at Hadley Hollenbeck. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 29 points and 24 boards. With that strong performance, Hollenbeck is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Allie Brunson, who posted six points and 11 rebounds.

Edgemont's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for White River, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-9.

Edgemont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for White River, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-45 defeat against Bennett County on the 27th.
