Basketball Game Preview: Fryeburg Raiders vs. Greely Rangers

Fryeburg hasn't had much luck against Greely recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Fryeburg Raiders will take on the Greely Rangers at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Fryeburg lost to Westbrook at home by a 52-34 margin. The Raiders were down 44-19 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Greely had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 41-32. That looming 41-32 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rangers yet this season.

Greely's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. As for Fryeburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Fryeburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Greely when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 43-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fryeburg since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
