Basketball Recap: Flambeau Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Flambeau won the last time they faced Cornell, and Dominic Kopacz did his part to make sure it happened again. The Flambeau Falcons breezed by the Cornell Chiefs to the tune of 78-47 on Friday thanks in part to Kopacz, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 21 points and seven rebounds. He has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last eight times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Hughes, who posted eight points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Flambeau's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Cornell, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flambeau has already played their next match (against New Auburn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cornell has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Winter.
