Softball Recap: Ipswich's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Ipswich came into Thursday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let the Rockport Vikings get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Ipswich picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-9. As for Rockport, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Ipswich will square off against Amesbury at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rockport, they will face off against Winthrop at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Rockport is facing Winthrop at the right time seeing as Winthrop is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
