Soccer Game Preview: Covert vs. Marcellus

The Covert Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Marcellus Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Covert is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 8-0 to Michigan Lutheran.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Marcellus challenged Calhoun Christian on Wednesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The loss put an end to Marcellus' undefeated start to the season.

Covert's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Marcellus, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-1.

Covert suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Marcellus when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
