Volleyball Recap: Stanhope Elmore Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Stanhope Elmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Wetumpka Indians, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-20.

Leading Wetumpka to victory were Ashlynn Turner and Hannah Burdett. Turner had 23 digs and four assists, while Burdett had 20 digs. That's the most assists Turner has posted since back in October of 2024.

Stanhope Elmore's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Wetumpka, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Stanhope Elmore has already played their next contest (against Percy Julian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wetumpka, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Montgomery Academy on the 2nd.
