Soccer Game Preview: Brawley vs. Calexico

Brawley is 1-8-1 against Calexico since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Brawley turned things around against Holtville on Friday. They never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 1-0 win.

Meanwhile, Calexico fell victim to Central and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Spartans. While losing is never fun, Calexico can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while Central are ranked tenth).

Calexico's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-4. As for Brawley, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-8-3.
