Volleyball Recap: Lincoln-Way West Takes a Loss

Lincoln-Way West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Timothy Christian Trojans.

Lincoln-Way West actually scored more points across those three sets (75-66), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 12-25, 25-23.

Lincoln-Way West's record now sits at 10-7. As for Timothy Christian, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Lincoln-Way West and Timothy Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Warriors (ranked 31st) will meet Andrew (ranked 141st) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Timothy Christian will challenge St. Edward at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (100 vs. 242).
