Baseball Recap: Soledad Takes a Loss

Soledad lost against Palma on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Aztecs took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chieftains. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anikan Tavarez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Soledad's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Palma, their record is now 14-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Soledad will face off against rival Hollister at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Palma is set to challenge their familiar foe Carmel at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chieftains 2.7, the Padres 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
