Volleyball Recap: Mercer Extends Road Winning Streak to 12

Mercer won the last time they faced Franklin and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The win didn't come easy: Franklin scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 25-23.

Ainsley Baldwin paced Mercer's offense, picking up 12 kills. Baldwin got some help from Farren Baldwin and her 12 assists. Ainsley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bella Beers, each putting up two.

Mercer's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Franklin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mercer will take on Redbank Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin, they will face off against Greenville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
