Basketball Game Preview: Memorial Roughriders vs. Spencerville Bearcats

The Memorial Roughriders and the Spencerville Bearcats will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Memorial has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with five straight defeats, while Spencerville will come in with seven straight wins.

Memorial came up short against Marion Local on Saturday, falling 67-41.

Meanwhile, Spencerville hadn't done well against Ottawa-Glandorf recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Everything went Spencerville's way against Ottawa-Glandorf as Spencerville made off with a 56-35 victory. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Spencerville pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Memorial didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Spencerville in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory.
