Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alyssa Bechinske and Myleigh Weaver Lead Westville to Victory

Westville won the last time they faced Oregon-Davis and things went their way on Monday too. The Blackhawks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bobcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blackhawks.

Westville was led to victory by Myleigh Weaver and Alyssa Bechinske. Weaver had 25 digs, five kills, and three aces, while Bechinske had 12 digs and 11 kills. That's the most kills Weaver has posted since back in September of 2024. Cameron Bietry was another key player, getting 15 digs.

They weren't the only good server: Westville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Westville's record now sits at 3-1. As for Oregon-Davis, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Westville will be playing at home against Michigan City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oregon-Davis, they will face off against Culver Community at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
