Baseball Recap: Cabrillo Conquistadores vs. Arroyo Grande Eagles

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cabrillo). They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Arroyo Grande Eagles on Tuesday. With that victory, the Conquistadores brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Cabrillo got a great performance from Jacob Low as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Low has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gabe Barraza, who went 3-for-6 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Cabrillo's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't).
