The Gaffney Indians will take on the Northwestern Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Gaffney comes in on three and Northwestern on seven.
Gaffney is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Greenwood by a score of 38-31.

Gaffney got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josiah Hill out in front who rushed for 96 yards and a pair of TDs. Hill also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Indians are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gaffney was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. They are a perfect 7-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Gaffney didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ty McGill, Zion Dawkins, and Kendaris Bailey picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Northwestern took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-7 victory over Catawba Ridge. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.
Gaffney better keep an eye on Xavier Means. He was instrumental in Northwestern's win, throwing for 189 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground. Kameron Vance got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Northwestern, racking up 16 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Vance, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Gaffney's record now sits at 9-3. As for Northwestern, their record is now 10-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Gaffney has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 185.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Northwestern struggles in that department as they've been averaging 224.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Gaffney ended up a good deal behind Northwestern when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 58-40. Thankfully for the Indians, Finley Polk (who threw for 339 yards and five TDs, and also rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
