Volleyball Recap: Hutto Takes a Loss

If Hutto was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Manor on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hippos came up short against the Vandegrift Vipers on Friday, falling 3-0. The Hippos haven't had much luck with the Vipers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-13, 25-19.

Vandegrift's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isobel Cullen, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Cullen has posted over her last eight contests.

Hutto's defeat dropped their record down to 12-21. As for Vandegrift, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-18 record this season.

Coincidentally, Hutto and Vandegrift will both be playing Vista Ridge the next time they take the court. The Vipers will head out to face the Rangers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hippos will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
