            Baseball Recap: Dwight-Englewood Bulldogs vs. Ridgefield Memorial Royals        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Midland Park, Dwight-Englewood was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They came out on top against the Ridgefield Memorial Royals by a score of  10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The  victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won seven in a row.
 Austin Kim was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Matias De Alba was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He also put up a  home run, which was his first of the season.  Zachary Day was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Dwight-Englewood's record is now 5-2. As for Ridgefield Memorial, their  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dwight-Englewood will head out to  face off against Ridgewood  at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. As for Ridgefield Memorial, they will venture away from home to  take on Emerson  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
