Basketball Recap: Link Academy Comes Up Short

Link Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Conway Wampus Cats, falling 68-46. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 45th in Missouri, while the Wampus Cats are ranked first in Arkansas).

Link Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Conway, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.

Link Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hickman at 11:00 a.m. on February 1st. As for Conway, they will host North Little Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
