Softball Recap: Liberty Charter Comes Up Short

Liberty Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 10-6 to the Santa Fe Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Briza Pelayo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Julia Peterson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Liberty Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Santa Fe Christian, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Charter will face off against San Diego at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Santa Fe Christian, they will square off against Foothills Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
