Softball Recap: Murray Wins Going Away Against Diagonal

While Murray put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Diagonal. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Maroons with a sharp 11-0 victory. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

The win (which was Murray's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Diagonal, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Murray will challenge Moravia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Diagonal, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ankeny Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
