McGehee made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rison, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Owls put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 12-6 victory on Tuesday. The Owls' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

With the win, McGehee broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-3. As for Rison, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-5.

Looking ahead, McGehee will head out on the road to take on Hampton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rison, they will face off against Star City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
