Softball Game Preview: Polk County Wolverines vs. Chase Trojans

For the second straight game, Polk County will face off against Chase. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Polk County has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Chase will come in with three straight wins.

Polk County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Chase, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolverines fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly two runs.

Chase's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Polk County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
