Volleyball Recap: Central Dauphin East Comes Up Short

Central Dauphin East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Central Dauphin Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-21.

Marcello Burton paced Central Dauphin East's offense, picking up nine kills. Burton got some help from Pramesh Gurung and his 17 assists. Preston Sok and Ahn-Toan Bui kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Central Dauphin East's loss dropped their record down to 7-12-1. As for Central Dauphin, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Dauphin East will challenge Chambersburg at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Dauphin, they will take on Cumberland Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
