Alexander had already won 19 in a row and they went ahead and made it 20 on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the United Longhorns. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory back in September.

Alexander took United into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-15, 20-25, 15-7.

Brianna Espinoza was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 19 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matchups.

Despite the loss, United still got an impressive performance from Anakaren Garcia, who had 34 digs and seven assists. Garcia is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Chavez, who had 26 digs.

Alexander's victory bumped their record up to 29-4. As for United, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 26-10.

Looking ahead, Alexander will square off against Clemens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. United does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
