Baseball Recap: Oakridge Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Oakridge challenged UME Preparatory Academy on Thursday. The Owls fell just short of the EAGLES by a score of 3-2. The Owls just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Oakridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Collins, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double. Kingston James was another, earning one run and two stolen bases.

Oakridge now has a losing record of 4-5. As for UME Preparatory Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

While Oakridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
