Baseball Recap: South Pointe Drops Highest Score of Season Against Richland Northeast

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Pointe). They put the hurt on the Richland Northeast Cavaliers with a sharp 16-3 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Stallions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Lance Whitaker was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaden McClure, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-9. As for Richland Northeast, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

South Pointe will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cavaliers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
