Basketball Recap: Omaha Northwest Comes Up Short

Omaha Northwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Millard South Patriots and fell 82-34. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-21.

When it comes to explaining why Omaha Northwest lost, don't look at DaWayne Kearney. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points. Kearney has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Jakyi Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Omaha Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Millard South, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

As for Millard South, they will be playing at home against Bryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millard South is facing Bryan at the right time seeing as Bryan is stuck on a 20-game losing streak.
