Soccer Recap: Wellington Comes Up Short

Wellington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to Thompson Valley. While losing is never fun, Wellington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Thompson Valley is ranked 54th).

Wellington's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Thompson Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Wellington wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 12-2 defeat against Mountain View on the 21st. As for Thompson Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Timnath on the 22nd.
