 Friday just wasn't the day for Loretto's offense. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 10-0 walloping at the hands of the Zion Christian Academy Eagles on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 11  runs in the game before, Loretto's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 For Zion Christian Academy's part,  Ashleia Coble made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Coble has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Coble was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  doubles, three  RBI,  and a  run.
 In other batting news, Zion Christian Academy let  MJ McWilliams and  Leilia Rains loose on the outfield. McWilliams  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances, while  Rains  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Addison White, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Loretto's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Zion Christian Academy, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last nine contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loretto will take on Mt. Pleasant at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Zion Christian Academy, they will play host again  in Monday's  first game to welcome Riverside Christian Academy, where first pitch is scheduled  at 5:00  p.m. Zion Christian Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3  runs per game  this season, so Riverside Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
