Baseball Recap: Homer-Center Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five games, Homer-Center finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the West Shamokin Wolves by a score of 2-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Brayden Rado was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Homer-Center's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4. As for West Shamokin, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

While Homer-Center had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
