Franklin County Tech came tearing into Tuesday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the West Boylston Lions 4-2. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 6-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Brayleigh Burgh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Franklin County Tech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lindsey Taylor, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Franklin County Tech now has a winning record of 13-12. As for West Boylston, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 15-1.
