Football Recap: Canyon Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Canyon had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 20-12 victory over the Saugus Centurions on Monday.

Jodie Noche had an outrageously good game as she threw for 202 yards and three TDs while completing 89.7% of her passes, and also rushed for 78 yards on only eight carries. 116 of Noche's passing yards were hauled in by Isabella Ramos.

Saugus dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Canyon has already played their next matchup, a 12-6 loss against Valencia on the 20th. As for Saugus, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-6 win against Golden Valley on the 20th.
