Softball Recap: Glenn's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Glenn entered their tilt with Lehman on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Lehman Lobos. The Grizzlies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lobos, too.

Maddy Butler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Fuego Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Jas Dobbins was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Glenn's record is now 10-3. As for Lehman, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6-1.

Glenn and Lehman could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Glenn will challenge Liberty Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 203 places (241 vs. 38). Similarly, Lehman (ranked 316th) will meet Leander (ranked 98th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
