Soccer Game Preview: Scottsbluff vs. North Platte

Scottsbluff is 0-10 against North Platte since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bearcats will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m.

Scottsbluff is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Kearney Catholic on Saturday. The Bearcats fell 2-0 to the Stars. Scottsbluff fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Kearney Catholic since on Saturday.

Meanwhile, North Platte waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but North Platte were the better team in the second half.

North Platte's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four contests. As for Scottsbluff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Scottsbluff suffered a grim 7-2 defeat to North Platte in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
