Basketball Game Preview: Aquinas Knights vs. John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles

Aquinas and John F. Kennedy Catholic are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Aquinas Knights will head out to face off against the John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Aquinas is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Steubenville on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Aquinas had to suffer through a 82-53 loss at the hands of Steubenville.

Meanwhile, John F. Kennedy Catholic had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They secured a 78-73 W over the Spartans. 78 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

John F. Kennedy Catholic's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.2 points per game. As for Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Aquinas took a serious blow against John F. Kennedy Catholic in their previous matchup back in February, falling 81-36. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of John F.
