Baseball Recap: Bell Gardens Comes Up Short

After flying high against San Gabriel on Friday, Bell Gardens came back down to earth. The Lancers fell just short of the Arroyo Knights by a score of 6-5 on Monday.

Bell Gardens saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Steven Tovar, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Bell Gardens has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Arroyo, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8-1.

Looking ahead, Bell Gardens will head out to square off against Calvary Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arroyo, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Rosemead at 3:30 p.m.
