Sunnyslope extended their winning streak to seven on Tuesday, bumping them up to 8-1. Everything went their way against the Apollo Hawks as they made off with a 64-42 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

As for Apollo, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Sunnyslope is ranked first).

Apollo's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Demetrius Pink, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 16 points, and Emmanuel Angok, who posted six points. Angok is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last three games he's played.

Sunnyslope and Chaparral will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Apollo, they will take on Millard South in a tournament on Thursday. The Hawks will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
