Soccer Recap: South Knox Falls to Evansville Mater Dei in First Game of Season

South Knox had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. South Knox were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Evansville Mater Dei apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Ross Holscher wasn't going to let Evansville Mater Dei walk away unscathed as he scored both of South Knox's goals.

South Knox has already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Evansville Christian on the 19th. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Evansville Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on the 26th.
