Carter Lukens posted a new career-high in stolen bases on Wednesday. He scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Lukens' strong effort led Hoover over McKinley and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are 9-1 against the Bulldogs going back to May of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
