Softball Recap: William Penn Charter Comes Up Short

William Penn Charter entered their game against Mt. St. Joseph Academy on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Quakers came up short against the Magic, falling 28-8. The Quakers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Ellie McKernan was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Nora Prasad, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

William Penn Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. William Penn Charter will challenge Baldwin at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. St. Joseph Academy, they will head out to face off against Merion Mercy Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
